The amount of flights entering Israel has dropped again and with that, so has my client base. This has caused me to do a bit more “searching” for potential clients. I do meet with some Israelis but only a limited few. I”m attempting to be more flexible with my scheduling, which is not easy, but there is an additional obstacle….
The amount of time that those that are visiting has also been shortened, which limits our flexibility in coordinating our different schedules.
I’ve had to adjust my strategy, where I now try to meet my clients soon after their arrival in Israel with the later part of his trip being my “backup” in case one of us have to cancel.
What causes these cancellations? Well though we don’t have many rockets actually landing in Tel Aviv, which can be a major disruption, some of my clients meetings include Israeli’s who are doing their reserve service, who may or may not be able to get to the meeting. For myself, sometimes my extended family with many of my family (both male and female) also in the reserves which also will cause a schedule changes as they need my help (priorities).
